No XML causes hang

Description

If Shepherd gets to the postprocessing stage with no valid XML, bad things happen:

1. The augment_timezone postprocessor prints: 

  - parsing: (from-stdin, hit control-D to finiah)

... and then hangs.

2. Shepherd dies mysteriously: 

SHEPHERD: XML data from postprocessor augment_timezone rejected, using XML from previous stage

DIE: line 269 in file /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.8/Carp.pm
